Getting Started

How do I set up my profile?

After downloading Sunny Pal, open the app and follow the onboarding process. You may be guided through taking an optional photo or manually selecting appearance-related settings. This information helps provide UV checks, reminder settings, and photo-based appearance tracking.

Can I change my profile settings later?

Yes. You can update your profile information at any time. Go to Settings > Profile and adjust your appearance-related settings, location permissions, or reminder preferences.

Is my data secure?

We take your privacy seriously, but not every feature is processed only on your device. When you submit an image or create a plan, Sunny Pal sends the information needed for that request to Google Gemini through our servers so Gemini can return the requested response. Sunny Pal does not store submitted images, Gemini prompts, or Gemini responses as persistent cloud records after the response is returned. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Does Sunny Pal use Google Gemini?

Yes. Sunny Pal uses Google Gemini for optional image-processing and plan-generation features. If you submit an image or create a plan, the image, prompt, relevant app settings, and selected UV, weather, or location context may be sent to Google Gemini to generate the response. We use Gemini for app functionality, not advertising or tracking.

Are my images used to train AI models?

Sunny Pal does not use submitted images or plan-generation inputs to train Sunny Pal machine learning models. For production AI features, Sunny Pal uses a billing-enabled Google Gemini API configuration where Google states that prompts, files such as images, and responses are not used to improve Google products. Google may still process, transiently cache, or retain limited API logs for service operation, abuse monitoring, security, or legal compliance.

Using Reminders

How do I use reminder plans?

Reminder plans are available on the home screen. Tap a plan to review available UV and weather information, SPF prompts, timer reminders, and any notes you have saved for time outdoors.

What if the weather changes?

Sunny Pal can update available UV and weather information when current data changes. UV, weather, and reminder information may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate, so always check local conditions and use your own judgment.

Can I track appearance changes?

Yes. Sunny Pal includes photo-based appearance tracking where you can compare optional photos over time. These estimates are visual only and may be affected by lighting, camera quality, shadows, and device settings.

Subscription and Billing

What's included in the free version?

A subscription is required to access Sunny Pal unless we offer limited free features, a free trial, or another promotional option. Subscription features may include UV index information, weather-based reminders, SPF prompts, timer reminders, widgets, photo-based appearance estimates, and appearance tracking.

How do I manage my subscription?

You can manage your subscription through your App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) account settings. There, you can view your subscription status, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.

Is there a refund policy?

Refunds are handled directly through the App Store or Google Play Store according to their policies. If you're experiencing issues with your subscription, please contact our support team for assistance before requesting a refund.
